FAQs: Beta program

How can I provide feedback and ask questions during a beta?

Visit the Beta HQ to provide feedback and receive timely information about betas.

You can share general questions and feedback about your beta experience with the Product Management team. Our team monitors discussions and provides timely responses for all members of the community to view. Our Product Managers may also issue surveys or conduct interviews to collect feedback on the overall product experience and on specific betas.

If you have questions that are specific to your organization or that require immediate response, contact the lead Product Manager for your beta directly in the Beta HQ.

What are the expectations of me during a beta?

During a beta you will be asked to provide feedback through specific measurements that concern the functionality and performance of the beta features. You may be asked to identify potential errors, to suggest improvements or modifications, to verify bug fixes, or to suggest further enhancements.

How does my organization get configured for a beta?

The Product Manager for the beta enables the beta features for the participating organizations.

It is recommended that you use beta features in your development or test environment. However, if you need to use a beta feature in your production environment, first review the risks outlined in our Beta Feature Agreement. Then consult with the Product Manager for the beta.

How do I sign up my organization for a beta?

Beta participation is open to all current Genesys customers. If you are interested in participating in a beta, fill out a data collection form during the enrollment period for that beta. Forms are specific to individual feature betas. Find links to the enrollment forms in the Beta HQ or on the Ideas Portal for the particular feature in question. If you have trouble, contact Product Support for assistance.

You will be notified if you meet the participation criteria and are included in the beta.

Do all features go through beta?

Betas are most frequently conducted for customer-facing features, and less frequently used to test infrastructure and behind-the-scenes functionality that you typically do not interact with directly.
