An IP address lookup on Genesys CIDR ranges shows Indianapolis, IN United States as the location because the Genesys Indianapolis office is the business address that Genesys uses when purchasing CIDR ranges. Many popular IP address lookup services report the administrative location as the geographical location, which is not accurate in the case of the Genesys CIDR ranges. The Genesys CIDR ranges actually operate within Genesys Cloud’s AWS regions around the world.

To find the IP address of a user who is logged in to your organization, you can use the audit events. Nearly all of the audit events include the IP address.

For example, you can use the AccessToken audit event. For more information, see the PeoplePermissions section of the Action Catalog in the Developer Center. 

To find a premises-based Edge’s IP address:

1. Click Admin.
2. Under Telephony, click Edges.
3. Click Menu > Channels > Telephony > Edges.
4. Click the appropriate Edge name.
5. Click the Network Interfaces tab.
6. Navigate to the first active interface and look for the IP address on the first tab:
