Work in the Edit Audio Sequence dialog box

In the Edit Audio Sequence dialog box, you can build simple sequences in the Sequence Builder mode, or you can access the Custom Expression mode to create more complex sequences using expressions. The Edit Audio Sequence dialog box heading indicates whether you are currently editing a menu prompt, the initial greeting, or an action’s associated audio element.

When you build an audio sequence in the Sequence Builder, choose each item to add to the sequence, and then select the wanted settings to apply to each item. For example, if you choose to add data playback, an Options drop-down list appears, with choices that apply specifically to the data type. The audio sequence that you build here is an audio expression.

Switch to the Custom Expression Builder to see the audio expression Architect generates from your sequence.

Note: Switching from the Sequence Builder to the Custom Expression Builder generates an audio expression. However, if you switch from the Custom Expression Builder to the Sequence Builder, it does not interpret the custom expression text and instead reconfigures the sequence. Use caution when switching between modes. For more information, see Expression tips and best practices.

You can enter a simple audio string inline played back as TTS. You can begin typing to view a list of available prompts from which to select, or you add an audio sequence in the Edit Audio Sequence dialog box by selecting the edit audio sequence button in any audio configuration field:
