Starting November 3, 2025, Genesys will remove the legacy codes of the software development kit (SDK) code base, which were inherited from bold SDK and were never intended for use, but remained publicly available. These codes are not officially supported and not documented. This legacy codebase will be annotated as deprecated.
This removal includes several internal classes, methods, and interfaces in the SDK. This legacy code removal is necessary to keep the SDK clean, well-documented, easy to implement, and maintainable.
Am I affected?
If you use Genesys Cloud Mobile Messenger unsupported application programming interfaces (APIs), then you are impacted.
How can I prepare for this deprecation?
You are encouraged to review your codebase for any usage of non-documented SDK elements and remove dependencies on any deprecated internal APIs. If you upgrade to SDK v1.15, ensure to:
- Review your codebase for any usage of non-documented SDK elements.
- Remove dependencies on any deprecated internal APIs.
- Use only the documented public APIs described in our SDK documentation.
