Manage your SMS long code number inventory

To navigate to the SMS Number Inventory page, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Message, click SMS Number Inventory
  3. Click Menu > Digital and Telephony > Message > SMS Number Inventory.

The SMS Number Inventory page is displayed.

 The SMS Number Inventory page provides you with a list of your SMS numbers and the tools to manage them. The column headings on the page instantly allow you to identify the number, its status, the type of number, and the purchase date. For more information, see Messaging pricing

Field definitions

The following table lists and describes the fields and columns in the SMS Inventory page.

Search

If your SMS number inventory contains multiple numbers, you can use the Search feature to find the numbers you want to see.

  1. Type the number that you want to find in the search box.
    • As you type, the search immediately begins processing the results.
    • Do not include parenthesis, spaces, or hyphens in the number. Type the number as one continuous string.
  2. To cancel or exit the search and clear the results, click the x in the search box.
Filter

If your SMS number inventory contains many numbers, use the Filter feature to narrow your display to only those numbers you want to see. To filter your view, perform the following steps: 

  1. Click Filter.
  2. The Filter panel is displayed. You can choose to filter by one of the following fields:
    • Type
    • Country
    • Status
    • Integration
  3. Click Apply.
Refresh

Updates the inventory list view.

Add Numbers

Lists the options to add new numbers.

Status

Indicates the status of the SMS number. It shows one of the following statuses:

  • Active: You can use the number to send SMS messages.
  • Pending: You cannot yet use the number to send SMS messages.
  • Invalid: You cannot yet use the number to send SMS messages as the number is still invalid. This error could be caused due to errors done during provisioning of the number.
  • Initiated: You cannot yet use the number to send SMS messages as the activation process has only been initiated.
  • Porting: You cannot yet use the number to send SMS messages as the porting of the number is still in progress.
  • Pending cancelation: You cannot yet use the number to send SMS messages as the number’s activation has been canceled.
SMS Number

Displays the SMS number.

Country

Indicates the region of the SMS number.

Type

Indicates the type of the number. For example, a mobile, local, or toll-free number.

Integration

Displays the integration details associated with the SMS number.

Support MMS

Indicates whether the number supports the MMS feature.

MMS Content Profile

Indicates the MMS profile assigned to the MMS capable number.

Date Added

Indicates the date on which the SMS number was created.

Auto-renewal Date

Indicates whether the SMS number is active for auto-renewals.

Associated Flow

Indicates the details of associated flow for the SMS number.

Associated Campaign

Indicates whether the SMS number has an associated campaign along with the details.

Click the icon to view the options:

  • Assign Content Profile: Displays the Assign Content Profile dialog box. Use this to assign an MMS profile to the selected number. For more information about assigning content profiles, see Assign content profile.
  • Remove: Displays the . Remove option on top of the list when you select the checkbox corresponding to the SMS numbers that are in any other status other than Active. 
Note: If you attempt to remove a number currently associated to a flow, an error appears and you cannot release the number until you unassociate the flow. For more information, see Manage an inbound message route.
