Enable standalone features

The Standalone Features setting is designed to allow you to configure a phone for use in a conference room or other common area where anyone can use it. In other words, a phone with the Standalone Features enabled will not be assigned to a specific user.

You can enable the Standalone Features setting in either the Base Settings or the Phone settings. When you enable the Standalone Features setting in the Phone settings, you must assign the phone a DID number or an extension on the Line Keys tab. For more information, see Configure Line Keys for a standalone phone.

Note: Standalone phones do not support voicemail.
